The man behind Yuga is Jurgen Gallemaert, born in Belgium on November 16 in 1985, currently still living in Belgium near Antwerp. On his age of 16 he got introduced to the psy scene. It did not take long before he got addicted to the tunes of psychedelic trance. Not long after that he got himself his first mixing gear. He started to experiment and after a while he played on his first party so Yuga was born. Yuga means TIME or AGE, inspired by Hinduism. They believe that time is a cycle with four different ages or Yugas. Because of is earlier fascination with time, this name just fits him perfectly. He also tries to bring this fascination over in the music he plays. Always ahead of his time Yuga try to do something different, something new.

He believes that music should be constantly evolving, just like time. In that way he reflects himself in the music that he plays and also makes.

For a while now his in love with the crazyness of dark psy. He believes that dark psy is the most evolving music at this moment in time.

Yuga also loves to produce his own music but doesnt feel he is ready to come out with it yet. Because he wanted to learn more about sound he started to study sound techniques but found out soon that he's love goes out to studio techniques. With his studies almost finished he already did some projects as sound technician for parties and mastering as studio technician. In 2010 he started with a new project called Hyperacusis a dark psy organization to share his passion & vision. Yuga is always been a perfectionist when it comes to sound & music. He likes to prepare every set before playing, to create a storyline in his work. His dj set is filled with fast crazy unearthly sounds going from 165BPM to ???. Yuga loves to tweak the high loony frequencies and brings crazy basslines to life. He cannot resist to surprise people in every possible way.
